SHAMROCK
Services will be Saturday, June 15, 2013 at 10:00 AM in the Church of Christ, Shamrock, with Cottie Tarbet, officiating.
Burial will be in Shamrock Cemetery in Shamrock.
Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Shamrock.
Marcille Payne was born March 27, 1921 in Cotton County, Oklahoma to Thomas and Iva Pillers Todd. In 1929 she moved to the Twitty Community in Wheeler County with her parents. Marcille married Richard Galen Mason in 1939 in Pampa, TX. There was one son born to this union, Thomas Galen. Richard was killed while serving in the Navy during the war on May 5, 1945. She married Chester M. Payne on June 5, 1946 in Shamrock, TX. Chester had two children and the five of them made their home in Shamrock. Chester and Marcille owned and operated Payne Plumbing and Electric Co. until 1973. She worked in the business and was a homemaker.
Marcille was a member of the Church of Christ and was baptized into Christ in 1934.
She was preceded in death by her husband Chester in 2002; a son, Gene Payne and a sister, Lorene Clay.
SURVIVORS: 1 son, Tom Mason & wife Bernadette of Highlands Ranch,CO; 1 daughter, Colleen Swedlow of Vida, OR; 1 Daughter-in-Law, Ann Payne of Shamrock; 1 Sister, Sybil Atkinson of Wellington; 2 Brothers, Melvin Todd of Shamrock and E. D. "Buck" Todd of Livingston, TX; 8 Grandchildren, Gene Callan and Galen Callan of Portland, OR, Kent Payne of Shamrock, Kim Callan of Walla Walla, WA, Brenda Dyson of Pampa,
Carol Bentley of Amarillo, Miranda Mason and Jenna Mason of Highlands Ranch, CO; 12 Great Grandchildren; 2 Great Great Grandchildren.
