HOUSTON - CLARENDON SERVICES - Graveside at 11:00 am on Saturday, October 21, 2006 in Citizens Cemetery in Clarendon with Rev. Tom Garmon, Pastor of the First United Methodist Church in Clarendon, officiating. MEMORIAL SERVICES on Wednesday, October 18, 2006 at West University Methodist Church in Houston. INTERMENT - Citizens Cemetery Mrs. Jones was born in Fort Worth, Texas and was a resident of Clarendon before moving to Houston 3 years ago. She had worked for Southwestern Public Service Company in Plainview before her retirement. She married Robert Eugene Jones, Sr on July 2, 1936 at Amarillo. He preceded her in death on January 2, 1992. She married Olace Hicks on November 10, 1992 at Clarendon, and he preceded her in death on April 25, 2003. She was a member of the South Plains Quilting Club and the West University Methodist Church in Houston. SURVIVORS - one daughter, Patricia Sellers and husband Michael of Houston; one son, Robert Eugene Jones Jr. and wife Donna of Leesburg, Virginia; 4 grandchildren, Alicia Jones Howard, Robert Eugene Jones III, Kristilyn Turner, and Holly Scott; and 6 great grandchildren.
