Lorene Babbitt Shults' Obituary
ALBUQUERQUE, NM GRAVESIDE SERVICES- 2:00 pm Thursday, May 23, 2013 in Hillcrest Cemetery in McLean with Rev. Thacker Haynes, officiating. INTERMENT - Hillcrest Cemetery in McLean. Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of McLean. Lorene was born December 16, 1917 in Indahoma, Oklahoma to Loren and Leone Beck Babbitt. She had been a resident of Albuquerque since 1969. Prior to that, she had lived in Palasade, Colorado. She married Lowell Frank Shults on October 15, 1937 in Santa Rosa, New Mexico. She had been a Bindery Specalist at Starline Printing. Mrs. Shults loved to sew and crochet and was a member of a quilting club in Pedernall Hills, NM. She was an avid rock and coin collector. She loved the outdoors and loved to travel. She had rode in everything from a covered wagon, car, bus, and train; but she never did fly. She was a Presbyterian. PRECEDED IN DEATH BY – her husband, Lowell in August of 1969; her parents; a step-son, Ted Shults; and a sister Gloria Strong. SURVIVORS – 2 sisters; Edna Snyder and Kay Simons; 9 nieces and nephews; and numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews.
REMARKS – Viewing will be at the funeral home from 10:00 – 12:00 on Thursday morning. The family request that memorials be sent to BSA Hospice.
