GRAVESIDE SERVICES- 3:00 PM Thursday, May 22, 2014 in East Mound Cemetery in Matador with Rev. Anthony Knowles, officiating.
INTERMENT – with US Marine Corps Honors will be in East Mound Cemetery in Matador.
Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Clarendon.
Lonnie was born September 3, 1928 in Roaring Springs to Buster and Dollie Mae Harmon. He married Cuma Lorella “Tiny” Cooke on August 19, 1950 in Carlsbad, NM. He was a US Marine Corps veteran. He had worked as a supervisor for Bell Telephone Company prior to his retirement. He had been a resident of Hedley since 1983 and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Hedley.
PRECEDED IN DEATH BY – his parents; his wife in 2003; a son, Stephen Wayne Harmon in 2001; and a brother, Arthur Harmon.
SURVIVORS – a son, Tommy L. Harmon of Amarillo; 2 brothers, Bill and Gordon Harmon; 3 sisters, Lee Bradford, Juanita Cooper, and Vee Gordon; 4 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren.
MEMORIALS- The family request that memorials be made to American Cancer Society.
