Linda Louise Anderson's Obituary
Linda Louise was born on February 4th, 1942, to Nora and Edward Ledbetter. Growing up during the difficult years of World War II, Linda faced many challenges alongside her brother Edward, who was five years her senior. She often recalled that it was not until she was six years old that their home had floors, and not until she turned ten that they had indoor plumbing. Despite these hardships, Linda found joy in following her brother’s lead and delighted in running barefoot outdoors, a cherished memory from her childhood. Her dislike for wearing shoes became a small pleasure, a reminder of the simple perks of growing up with limited means.
At fourteen, Linda pleaded with her parents for permission to marry, a choice that led her to Nevada. This first marriage lasted nine years and resulted in the birth of her daughter, Tammy, in 1965. After her divorce, Linda married Richard Anderson in 1967, whom she considered the love of her life. Together, they welcomed their daughter Teresa in 1968. Richard brought three children from a previous marriage, (James, Bonnie and Arlo) and together they formed a blended family of seven, creating a new chapter filled with love and unity.
In 1978, the family relocated to New Mexico, where Linda not only managed the household but also kept herself busy by taking on various miscellaneous jobs over the years. Her dedication to both her family and her work reflected her strong sense of responsibility and tireless spirit.
After retirement, they relocated to Oakley, Idaho, where they reunited with Richard’s extended family. They were always excited when family gathered for celebrations, shared memories, and lasting traditions.
Linda and Richard enjoyed a devoted marriage that lasted fifty-four years, until Richard’s passing in 2021. Following this loss, Linda returned to Texas in 2022 to live with her daughters, Teresa and Tammy until she joined her heavenly family May 1, 2026. Linda will be laid to rest in Clarendon, Texas on May 16, 2026 at 10 AM, beside her parents and brother, honoring her roots and the family she treasured throughout her life.
Linda leaves behind two sons, three daughters, seven grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren, all of whom will remember her fondly.
