Lillian Lee Anderson Osborn, 98, of McLean, died on Saturday, May 26, 2018 in McLean.
Graveside services will be at 2:00pm on Monday, May 28, 2018 at Hillcrest Cemetery in McLean with Rev. Thacker Haynes, officiating.
Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of McLean.
Born October 9, 1919 in Lakeview, Texas to Bill and Lizzie Anderson, she was the youngest of 3 girls. At age four, the family moved to Elk City, Oklahoma where she lived and attended school. On June 23, 1939 she married Aubrey Osborn, they were married for 49 years. Lillian was a homemaker and was known for her fabulous cooking, interesting stories, and her fashionable details to dress. She always looked like she had “stepped right out of a Vogue Magazine.” She was known to most as DiDi. She was most proud of her cultural heritage being Native American – Cherokee Indian and Scottish-Irish. Her favorite scripture was “we are all of one blood.” She was a member of the McLean Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Aubrey Wayne Osborn on April 27, 1987; by her parents; and by all her siblings.
Survivors include a daughter, Cynthia Glass and husband Joe of McLean; a granddaughter, Canda (Carpenter) Henry and husband Steve of Amarillo; a grandson, John Cash Carpenter of Houston; a step-granddaughter, Cindy McDonald and husband David of McLean; 3 great grandchildren; Garrett Morris of Amarillo, Samantha Henry of Amarillo, Victoria Cothrin of McLean; and by 2 great-great grandchildren, Rylan and Lilly Morris of Amarillo.
