CLARENDON SERVICES- Graveside Services will be at 2:00 pm on Thursday, November 8, 2007 in Memorial Park Cemetery in Amarillo with Rev. Lowell Hall, Pastor of the Faith Baptist Church of Cushing, OK, officiating. INTERMENT- Memorial Park Cemetery / 6969 I-40 East / Amarillo, Texas Mrs. Karnes was born June 22, 1916 in Briscoe County to Jess and Katie E. Rish Stice. She married Albert Karnes on August 25, 1937 at Carson County. She was a resident of Amarillo before moving to Clarendon in 1984. She loved to crochet & watch TV. She dearly loved her family & friends. She was a Baptist. PRECEDED IN DEATH BY- her husband, on July 15, 1984; her son, Cloyce “Jake” Karnes; her parents; 2 brothers; & her granddaughter, Terry Ann Karnes. SURVIVORS INCLUDE- 3 grandchildren, Phillip Karnes of Amarillo, Lyn Curran and husband Chris of McKinney, and Donna Martjuchin and husband Dmitri of Correnth, Texas; a sister, Fayrene Colburn of Monroe, Utah; 8 great grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren.
MEMORIALS - The family request memorials be to the Donley County Senior Citizens or Meals on Wheels of Clarendon.
