LaWana Joyce Ramos, of Shamrock, Texas passed away Tuesday, October 29, 2024 in Shamrock at the age of 69. Viewing will be on Thursday from 9:00 AM until 4:00 PM at Robertson Funeral Directors in Shamrock.
LaWana was born on July 23, 1955 to Allan and Eddie Fay Crutcher of McLean, Texas. She married Leon Ramos, Jr. on January 6, 1973 in Lefors, Texas and made their home in Shamrock.
LaWana and Leon had 3 sons, Chris, Jerad, and Justin. LaWana was a homemaker. She was always willing to help others and loved all animals. Once even taking in a raccoon! Imagine having 3 teenage boys and having to feed all of their Samnorwood buddies! She was that kind of Mom. She opened her home to all and never left them go hungry. She treated them all like her own and enjoyed every minute. Well, until she found out they were catching rattlesnakes and keeping them in their cellar! Pretty sure Jerad got the blame for that! LaWana was proud to be called "Nana". She never missed her grandkids school events! Now having said that, we didn't say she made them on time! One thing the family could agree on was knowing that LaWana was not going to make our gatherings on time, but we knew eventually she would show up. LaWana will truly be missed. A loving mom, an amazing sister, a dear sister-in-law, proud Nana, and a true friend. She was a strong kind lady, forever in our hearts.
LaWana is preceded in death by her husband, Leon Ramos, Jr.; her son, Jerad Scott Ramos; her parents, Allan and Fay Crutcher; and brothers, Jimmy and Roger Crutcher.
She is survived by her sons, Chris and wife Jo of McLean and Justin and wife Tanya of Lutie; her daughter in law, Jacinda Larra and husband Joe of Dallas; her sister, Pam Lock and husband Dale of Lefors; her grandchildren, Jerad and Jaycie Larra and great granddaughter, Scottie Larra; granchildren, Kailynn and Kelli Ramos, and Emerson and Eli Ramos.
