Larry Michael Wallis' Obituary
CELEBRATION OF LIFE SERVICE – 3:00 PM Friday, April 29, 2016 in the Trinity Church in McLean, with Rev. Thacker Haynes officiating.
Larry Michael Wallis was born January 18, 1956 in Borger to Jay T. and Evelyn Shockley Wallis, and went to be home with Jesus on Friday, April 22, 2016. Larry was a veteran of the US Army. He married Brenda Lovett June 22, 1985 in Amarillo, and had been a resident of McLean the past 22 years. Larry worked as a Sheriff’s Deputy serving Potter County from 1988 to 1994 and Gray County from 1994 to 2004. He enjoyed collecting brass bullets, Nascar, and spending time with his kids and grandkids. Larry was a member of the Trinity Church in McLean.
PRECEDED IN DEATH BY – his parents.
SURVIVORS – his wife, Brenda Wallis, of McLean; 2 sons, Joshua Parsons of Amarillo, and Jay Wallis of McLean; 2 daughters, Shanna Marshall of Pampa, and Lacee Wallis of McLean; 2 sisters, Jaylene Wallis and Donna Wallis, both of Amarillo; 7 grandchildren; and many adopted kids from McLean.
MEMORIALS - In lieu of flowers or other gifts, the family suggests donations to BSA Hospice of the Southwest, VA Hospital, or McLean Care Center.
