McLEAN GRAVESIDE SERVICES- 2:00 PM Monday, July 18, 2011 in Alanreed Cemetery in Alanreed with Ryan Swanson, son, officiating. INTERMENT- Alanreed Cemetery in Alanreed. Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of McLean Mr. Swanson was born May 10, 1947 in Los Angeles, California to Edmund Leonard and Arla Grunhold Oberg Swanson. He was a resident of California before moving to McLean 29 years ago. He married Lynn Fish on May 31, 1980 at Los Angeles. Larry believed in baseball, football, basketball, golf, and NASCAR. In LA, he was a master carpenter and concrete guru for Oberg Construction where his skills as a craftsman contributed to many of LA's tunnels, ports, and bridges as well as numerous features at Universal Studios Hollywood and Warner Brothers Studios. He was a member of the California Carpenters Union. After moving to Texas, Larry constructed, remodeled, and improved many of the Panhandle's foundations, structures, and rooftops. For 12 years he served on the McLean Volunteer Fire Department. SURVIVORS - his wife of 31 years, Lynn Swanson of McLean; 2 sons, Ryan Swanson and Tony Polito both of McLean; one sister, Lois Butler of Reseda, California; a nephew, Scott Butler of Washington, DC; a brother in law and sister in law, Dan and Sasha Fish of McLean; a niece, Taylor Fish of McLean; a nephew, Parker Fish of McLean; and his granddaughter, Hannah Polito.
