Larry Lefatte “Pa” Putman of Shamrock, TX passed away on Wednesday, November 6, 2024 in Shamrock at the age of 68 years, 4 months and 22 days. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Cremation and Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Shamrock.
Larry was born on June 15, 1956 in Amarillo, TX to Otho Eugene Putman and Olene (Bosler) Putman. He grew up in Sayre, OK and married Maurine Wilfong on July 22, 1977. They were “Ma” and “Pa” to their family, and Pa loved Ma for 48 years.
Over the years, Larry worked as a mechanic and worked in the oil field. He was an easy-going man who loved God and his family. He always said “I love you” and was very quick to apologize when necessary. Larry had a great attitude and loved people. He had a wonderful sense of humor and loved joking around with everyone. He especially enjoyed riling people up just for fun. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Otho and Olene Putman; his daughter, Michele Dawn Putman; and two brothers, Bill Putman and Bobby Putman.
He is survived by his wife, Maurine Putman; his son, Joey Putman and his wife, Ruth; daughter, Nikki Putman and her husband Matt Cluff; grandchildren, Vincent Ruiz and wife, Shayla, Xavier Garza and wife, Alley, Wes Putman and wife, Aliyah, Martina Putman, Azura Cluff and Xander Cluff; great grandchildren, Ivan Ruiz and Vinchie Ruiz; his sister, Penny Putman; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
