Laquita Sue Bednorz's Obituary
Laquita Sue Bednorz, 74, of Canyon, TX passed away on Sunday, April 30, 2023 in Amarillo, TX. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, May 10, 2023 in Shamrock Cemetery in Shamrock with Chuck Bednorz officiating. Viewing will be from 9:00 AM until 1:30 PM at the funeral home.
Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors in Shamrock, TX.
Laquita was born October 1, 1948 in Shamrock, TX to Haskell H. and Ruby Jean (Clay) Sammons. She was raised in the country and married Gary Bednorz, who preceded her in death on June 4, 2010. She spent her early years farming and spent time working on the bridge crew and also as a driver for LeFleur’s. She loved animals, counting cows with her father and fishing. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
Preceding her in death were her parents and her husband.
Laquita is survived by two sons, Lance Bednorz of Canyon, TX and Gary Bednorz of Fritch, TX; and numerous grandchildren and other family members.
