LaDena Joyce "Nee-Nee" Taylor's Obituary
LaDena Joyce “Nee-Nee” Taylor, 64, of Wheeler, TX passed away on Wednesday, October 26, 2022 in Amarillo, TX.
Services will be at 10:00 AM Monday, October 31, 2022 at Cornerstone Church in Wheeler, TX with Rev. Erron Mercer officiating, assisted by Rodney Weatherly and Chris Holt. Burial will follow at Wheeler Cemetery in Wheeler, TX.
Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Wheeler.
LaDena was born on September 7, 1958 in Vernon, TX. Most of her childhood was spent in Shattock, OK and Wheeler, TX. She married Thomas Roy Taylor in 1975 in Liberal, KS. He preceded her in death in 2004. LaDena had been a resident of Wheeler since 1980. Over the years, she worked as a babysitter and a nurse. She enjoyed crocheting, but most of all she loved spending time with her kids and grandkids, dedicating most of her time following all of their many activities. She was a member of Cornerstone Church in Wheeler.
LaDena was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Dena (Holt) Brown; her grandparents; two sons, Joshua Lance Taylor and Derek Nelson; and one brother, H.L. Owens.
Survivors include her son, TA Taylor and wife, Jotana of Wheeler, TX; one daughter, Jandie Taylor of Wheeler, TX; one brother, Roger Brown and wife, Mandy of Wheeler, TX; one sister, Kathy Lane and husband, Dewayne o Wheeler, TX; six grandchildren and one on the way; and a host of nieces, nephews and “adopted” kids.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Wheeler Volunteer Fire Department, PO Box 771, Wheeler, TX 79096 or the Wheeler Athletic Boosters.
