Preston L. Glazner's Obituary
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at the Wheeler, TX in Wheeler, TX with Mike Gandy officiating. Burial will be in the Wheeler Cemetery, Wheeler, TX under the direction of Wright Funeral Directors, Wheeler, TX. Preston L. Glazner went to meet our Lord July 09, 2011. He was born in Quail, TX in December 31, 1919 to Sam and Louise Glazner. He was raised in Samnorwood, TX. He served our country in the Army Air Corp. August 1941 through September 1945. He was awarded EAME Campaign Medal with 10 Bronze Stars, the American Defense Medal, and The Good Conduct Medal. He married Elsie Marie Coates in Collingsworth, TX April 6, 1946. They moved to Wheeler County in 1952. He farmed and raised Angus cattle in addition to working for AMPI for over 30 years. He retired from AMPI in 1981. He was a member of the American Legion, Woodman of the World, and VFW Wheeler. Preston was preceded in death by his parents. Preston is survived by his wife of 65 years Elsie Coates Glazner, 3 sons Preston Doyle Glazner and wife Carol of Lubbock, TX., Jerry Glazner of Lancaster, TX., Noel Franklin Glazner of Eula, TX., 1 daughter Janice Elaine Quandt and husband Steve of Wheeler, TX., 7 grandchildren Timm Rodgers of Miami, TX., Katherine Manuel of Eula, TX., Clint and Amy Glazner of Dumas, TX., Kelly and Ronnie Maxwell of Wheeler, TX., Steven and Alice Glazner of Lubbock, TX., Shirlee and William Blasingame of Guymon, OK., Chris and Andrea Glazner of Round Rock, TX., and 19 great grandchildren. The family has requested in lieu of flowers memorial be sent to American heart Association 2404 West 7th Amarillo, TX 79106.
