L.C. Johnson's Obituary
L.C. Johnson, 93, of Memphis died Wednesday, June 26, 2019 in Childress.
Services will be 10:30 AM Wednesday, July 3, 2019 in the Red Marble Ministries Church in Memphis with Rev. Dale Miller and Jackie Blum, officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Memphis.
Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Memphis.
Mr. Johnson was born August 9, 1925 in Plaska to Edward G. and Lelu Baty Johnson. He married June Johnson on January 5, 1944 in Hollis, Oklahoma. He was a US Army veteran serving during World War II. He had been a barber and worked in construction prior to his retirement. He was an ace cabinet maker. While living in California, he remodeled the kitchens of Rod Stewart and Elvis Presley. He had served as a deacon for several years and was a member of Red Marble Ministries Church in Memphis.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife on April 18, 2015; two brothers; and four sisters.
Survivors include two sons, Glenn Johnson of Memphis and Keith Johnson of Hollister, California; a daughter, Alinda Ward of California; five grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
The family request memorials be sent to St. Jude’s Childrens Hospital.
The family will be at 614 South 7th Street in Memphis.
