Kenny Joe Hawkins, 77, of Odessa, Texas died Saturday, May 25, 2024 in Odessa, Texas.
Services will be 2:00 PM Monday, June 3, 2024 in Robertson Funeral Directors Heritage Chapel in Memphis, Texas with Jim Dixon, officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Memphis, Texas. A celebration of life service will be held at a later date in Odessa, Texas.
Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Memphis, Texas.
Kenny was born September 3, 1946 in Memphis, Texas to Samuel Kenneth and Jo Katherine Murdock Hawkins. He grew up in Memphis and later moved to Odessa where he had been a resident for over 50 years. He had worked as an equipment operator in construction prior to his retirement. Kenny loved going to Pojo's to have coffee with friends for many years and always loved visiting with people. He loved his dogs, watching racing, and collecting any John Deere from equipment to toys. He married Cathy Annette Hamm on December 10, 2016 in Odessa, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his first wife, Nancy on July 23, 2001.
Survivors include his wife, Cathy Hawkins of Odessa; his step daughters, Dawn Nichols and Christie Farris both of Odessa; his sister, Debbie Walker of Shamrock, Texas; 2 nephews, Lance Lindley of Borger and Jason Lindley of Canyon; and a niece, Leslie Timmons of Shamrock.
