Kathy Lee Hatcher's Obituary
Kathy Lee Hatcher, 70, of Wheeler, passed away on Saturday, October 12, 2019, in Wheeler, Texas.
Services will be 3:00 PM, Friday, October 18, 2019 at the Lefors Church of Christ, with Travis Leamon, officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Heights Cemetery in Lefors, TX.
Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Wheeler.
Kathy Lee Mason was born on June 25, 1949, in Brownfield, Texas, to Ervin Mason and Opal Dollar Mason. She was one of ten children. Kathy married Jack Hatcher on March 19, 1966. She had been a resident of Wheeler for the last 20 years. Her first career was being a wife and mother to her husband and three children. After her kids grew older, she began her nursing career. She so enjoyed being a nurse and taking care of her patients and the type of relationships she developed with her co-workers were nothing short of family. One of Kathy’s most favorite hobbies was to curl up and read a good book.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Geril Mason; one sister, Marie Sells; and one grandson, Michael George.
Survivors include her husband, Jack Hatcher, of Wheeler; one son, Russell Hatcher and wife Amanda, of Mobeetie; two daughters, Cary Johnson and husband Kent, of Canyon and Angela Howard and husband Mark, of Wheeler; four brothers, Kenneth Mason of Newark, Don Mason of Amarillo, Dwain Mason of Amarillo, and Jackie Mason of Amarillo; 3 sisters, Rebecca Bradley of Amarillo, Carolyn Sells of Amarillo, and Rita Harris of Amarillo; 10 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The family asks that in lieu of Flowers that donations be made to Parkview Assisted Living, PO Box 1030, Wheeler, TX, 79096.
