CLARENDON MEMORIAL SERVICES- 2:00 pm on Saturday, May 8, 2010 at Yankie’s RV Park in Clarendon, conducted by her family.
CREMATION AND ARRANGEMENTS - Robertson Funeral Directors of Clarendon. Mrs. Yankie was born May 30, 1919 in Clarendon to Joseph and Blanche Bones Oden. She was the 1st lab technician at Adair Hospital in Clarendon, and a pioneer of the panhandle. Her and her late husband, Doc Yankie, owned and operated a trucking business in the 40’s and 50’s. She also owned her operated Yankie’s RV Park in Clarendon until her death. She lived all of her life in Clarendon where she was a member of the First United Methodist Church. PRECEDED IN DEATH BY - her parents, her husband, and several brothers. SURVIVORS - her son, Joe Yankie of Clarendon; her daughter, Sue Page of Brodnax, VA; 4 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren. MEMORIALS - The family requests that memorials be to the Saint‘s Roost Museum or the VFW Auxillary both in Clarendon.
