SERVICES - 3:00 PM Tuesday, July 31, 2012 in the First Baptist Church in McLean with Rev. Thacker Haynes, Pastor of First United Methodist Church in McLean, officiating.
INTERMENT - Hillcrest Cemetery in McLean.
Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of McLean.
Katharine Calcote was born December 19, 1929 in Gary, OK to Louie and Verna Gammon Abernethy. She was a graduate of Kelton High School and has lived in McLean since 1963. She held several jobs in the early years, but most importantly, she was a homemaker. She married Odis Calcote December 19, 1946 in Wheeler. Katharine was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, loved fishing and gardening, and loved her 2 dogs, Hannah and Bailey. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in McLean.
PRECEDED IN DEATH BY- her daughter, Sherry Martin; and 2 sisters, Curry Dell Bliss and Phyllis Shelton.
SURVIVORS - her husband, Odis Calcote, of McLean; 2 sons, Harold Calcote & wife Sydney, of Denver, CO, and Howard Calcote & wife Ellaine, of Amarillo; brother, Jerry Abernethy & wife Linda, of Evant, TX; 5 sisters, Jo Ann Simmons of Wheeler, Barbara Vines & husband Frank, of Salina, KS, Aliene Mills of Erick, OK, Vernell Thomas of Longview, and Cherry Hall of Wheeler; 8 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren.
