Judith Louise Thrasher's Obituary
Judith Louise Thrasher passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 31, at the age of 64.
Judy was born on August 5, 1953, in Portsmouth, VA. Judy graduated from Sunset High School in 1971 and entered the workforce. Judy began her career in accounts receivable then moved her way into working with mortgage software. Over her career, she moved her way to the West Coast to enjoy the warmer weather and no snow. After over 30 years in the industry, she retired from City National Bank in Los Angeles in 2015.
Judy loved good food, a good wine list, cooking, crafting, and spending time with the ones she loved. She was always very generous and shared her success with her family and friends. Her warm smile and quirky sense of humor brought joy to those around her.
Services will be held this Saturday, January 6 at 11:00 am in First Baptist Church Farmers Branch with Rev. Sam Underwood officiating.
She was preceded in death by her father Charles A. Thrasher.
Judy is survived by mother Martha Joe Thrasher; brother Charles and his wife Diane; sister Ruth Reeves and her husband Dave - all of Carrollton; niece Angela Jaramillo and her husband Louie of Fritch and their children Robin and Lucy; niece Rachel Helms and her husband Tony of Borger and their children Abbie and Lela; niece Amanda McMahon and her husband Sean of North Richland Hills; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friend.
