Joyce Raylene Howell was born on January 14, 1947 in Pampa to Alice Kalka. She married Jimmie Don Howell on May 26, 1964 in Hedley. She was a beautiful singer, a gifted piano player, a great cook, and incredibly crafty. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. In 2014, her life was complete when she found her biological sibilings. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Kindred Hospice and numerous friends and family that supported Joyce through her 8 month battle with cancer.
PRECEDED IN DEATH BY – Her parents, one brother Jack Palmer, and her aunt Louise Stewart.
SURVIVORS – her husband Jimmie Don Howell of Amarillo; 2 daughters Wanda Fowler and husband Kevin of Amarillo, and Jorene Wilson and husband Donnie of Houston; 2 brother Jim Palmer of Boise City, OK, and Joe Bob Palmer of Lubbock; 2 sisters Judy Fitsgerald of Plains, and Jeanne Eaks of Cloudcroft, NM; 6 grandchildren Gary and wife Jolene, Trent, Shawnda, Nick, Logan, and Lukas; and 5 great grandchildren Brayden, Blane, Aubrey, Brody, and Abbey Jo.
MEMORIALS- in lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be sent to Rowe Cemetery in Hedley, Tx.
