SERVICES- 10:00 am Wednesday, October 2, 2013 in the First Assembly of God in Clarendon with Rev. Matthew Stidham, officiating.
INTERMENT- Private Family Burial will be in Citizens Cemetery in Clarendon.
Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Clarendon.
Joy was born December 4, 1948 in Sayre, Oklahoma to Loyd and Mamie Dulsworth Dickerson. She enjoyed the outdoors, flowers, gardening, and cooking where she was known for her fried chicken. She was a member of the First Assembly of God in Clarendon.
PRECEDED IN DEATH BY - her parents; her brother, Loyd “Duck“ Dickerson, Jr.; a sister, Jean McDaniel; and 2 nephews.
SURVIVORS- 3 sons, Michael Phillips of Tucson, Arizona, Billy Phillips and Russell Guinn and wife Taylee all of Clarendon; a daughter, Regina Phillips Herndon and husband Ronald of Clarendon; 2 step daughters, Brandy Rivers and husband John of Canadian and Christina Henson and husband Jeff of Memphis; a brother, Gary English and wife Melanie of Clarendon; a sister, Neoma Rippetoe of Clarendon; 9 grandchildren; 9 step grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
MEMORIALS- The family request memorials be sent to the Citizens Cemetery Association / PO Box 983 / Clarendon, Texas 79226.
