Jorge Lopez-Garcia's Obituary
Jorge Lopez-Garcia, 74, of Wheeler, died Saturday, March 16, 2019, in Wheeler, Texas.
Mass will be celebrated at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, March 19, 2019 in the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Wheeler with Father Jo Konkala, as the celebrant. Burial will follow in Buffalo Cemetery in Sweetwater, Oklahoma.
Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Wheeler.
Jorge was born June 13, 1944 in Namiquipa, Chihuahua, Mexico to Zeferino Lopez and Maria Garcia. He been a resident of Wheeler since 1988. He enjoyed work and worked for Turner Transportation and was a truck driver. He also enjoyed feeding cattle. He enjoyed being with his family and was adventurous with his grandkids and great grandkids. He was a man that everyone respected, and he respected everybody and always had a helping hand. He was the best man, husband, father, and the family will forever love you. He believed in God.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers; and 2 grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Evangelina Lopez of Wheeler; 4 sons, Enrique Lopez of Shamrock, Jorge Lopez of Wheeler, Jesus Lopez of Sayre, Oklahoma, and Victor Lopez of Wheeler; 3 daughters, Teresa Lopez and husband Charlie Oren of Shamrock, Evangelina Lopez of Mexico, and Maria Del Refugio Lopez of Mexico; 4 brothers, Jose Lopez of Mexico, Ernesto Lopez of Erick, Oklahoma, Raul Lopez of Mexico, and David Lopez of Wheeler; 2 sisters, Consuelo Lopez and Mague Lopez of Mexico; 26 grandchildren; and 34 great grandchildren.
