Jonathan “Animal” David Blake, 69, of Shamrock died Tuesday, February 27, 2018 in Elk City, OK.
Memorial Service will be Saturday, March 3, 2018 at 2:00 PM in Calvary Christian Fellowship Church in Shamrock with Bro. Joe G. Jernigan, officiating.
Cremation & Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Shamrock.
Viewing will be Friday from 11:00AM-6:00 PM and Saturday 9:00 AM-1:00 PM at the funeral home.
David was born March 14, 1948 in Shamrock to Helen and John Wesley Blake, Jr. He had been a lifetime resident of Shamrock and worked for the Texas Railroad Commission prior to his retirement. Hunting and fishing was his passion and killed a Mule Deer that held a record through Boone and Crockett. He loved to take the kids as well as his friends to hunt and fish. He also enjoyed trapping and falling in the lake or river. He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include 2 sons, Adam Waxler and wife Amy of Cheyenne, Oklahoma and Wesley Blake and wife Abby of Elk City, Oklahoma; 2 daughters, Sammi Parkhurst of Sayre, Oklahoma and Randi Hagen and husband Curtis of Erick, Oklahoma; a brother, Noel Blake and wife Debbie Douglass of Odessa; 10 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; and a host of friends and hunting buddies.
