Johnny was born in Hayti, Missouri on July 24,1956 to Leonardo and Elena Ramos. He attended Shamrock schools, then transferred to Samnorwood because he wasn’t allowed to wear his hair as long as he liked. Johnny started his truck-driving career at the age of 18. He was a longhaul mover and later worked for C&H Supply for many years. He had retired from water hauling, but continued training for the company as needed. Johnny married Mary Lynn Hebert on August 24, 1984 in Wheeler, Texas. He was a loving husband and the best dad that a child could ask for. He was a sibling of 10. If you knew him, you would know that he was quite the jokester. He was always cracking jokes and making everyone laugh. Johnny introduced his younger sisters to the Dallas Cowboys, only because back in the day they were his little human remotes. And FYI, he was a HUGE Elvis fan and so were his younger sisters. Johnny loved his country music and Gloria really could sing his Dolly Parton songs to the T! He was a loving brother as well as their best friend. He never met a stranger. Johnny will be truly missed by all who knew him, and there will never be another like Johnny. He was a hardworking provider for his family, loving Papa for his grandkids, on hands uncle and a true friend to all. Hayden was his best friend and partner in crime. They were inseparable and he was so PROUD to be his dad. The girls were his pride and joy.
Proceeding him in death were: His parents, Leonardo and Elena Ramos and brother Frankie Ramos.
Johnny is survived by his wife Lynn; his sons, Hayden of the home, Shaun Ramos and wife Janette of Denim Springs, LA; daughters Christina Woods and husband Chris of Pampa, Texas, Corrina Ramos and Cody McMullen of Shamrock, TX, Rebecca and husband Joush Lewis of Shamrock, TX; his brothers, Leon Jr. and wife LaWanna Ramos of Shamrock, Nick and wife Evelyn Ramos of Denim Springs, LA, Jessie and wife Josie Ramos of Shamrock, TX; his sisters, Lisa and husband John Arriaga of Shamrock, TX, Sylvia and husband Steve Zaiontz of Shamrock, TX, Mary DeLaCruz of Elk City, OK, Connie and husband Steve Walden of Shamrock, TX, and Gloria and husband Lee Lacy of Shamrock, TX; 15 grandkids; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
