Johnny Mack Brown's Obituary
Johnny Mack Brown, 79, of Claude died Sunday, December 17, 2017 in Claude.
Services will be 1:00 PM Thursday, December 21, 2017 in the First United Methodist Church in Claude with Rev. Jess Little, officiating. Burial will follow in Claude Cemetery in Claude.
Arrangements are by Robertson Claude Chapel.
Visitation will be from 5:00-6:00 PM Wednesday at Robertson’s.
Johnny was born May 4, 1938 in Vinson, Oklahoma to Travis and Allie Brown. Johnny was a hardworking and kindhearted man who believed in supporting his community. Throughout his life, he worked at Plains Dairy and Panhandle Fruit Company until 1976 when he purchased the grocery store in Claude, Texas. He loved his family with his whole heart and never met a stranger. He was always the first to help someone in need. He married Lillan Brown on June 27, 1980.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Lillian on February 18, 2009; his siblings, Vaudrey Brown, Audry Brown, Rita Tollison, Norma Combs, Ann Nation, Carolyn Meyer, and Cheryl Fleming.
Survivors include his children, Karen Brown of Claude, Johnny Brown and Jennifer Lovell of Rockwall, Jerry Little of Washington, Debbie Johnson and husband Dan of Oklahoma, Bill Little and wife Teresa of Florida, Steve Little of Oklahoma; his step son, Ronnie Farmer and wife Lisa of Colorado; his siblings, Tina Coffee of Amarillo, Neva Winkler and husband Max of Amarillo, Elaine Brown of Borger, Travis Brown and wife Glenda of Borger, Robert Brown and wife Debbie of Borger, Neweva Brown of Amarillo, and Dene Meyer of Borger; 16 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
The family request memorials be sent to the Claude Volunteer Fire Department or Claude EMS.
The family will be at 315 Pratt in Claude.
