John Patrick Scanlon of Shamrock died Thursday, November 1, 2018 in Amarillo.
Services will be Monday, November 5, 2018 at 11:00 AM in Robertson Funeral Directors, Shamrock,
With Father Jo Konkala, officiating.
Interment will be in Shamrock Cemetery, Shamrock
Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Shamrock.
John was born February 23, 1937 in Worcester, Massachusetts to Patrick and Bridgette Fitzgibbons Scanlon. He served in the US Air Force and he married Carolyn King on September 17, 1988. She preceded him in death on February 5, 2014.
John was a carpenter and a member of the American Legion. He was an avid golf watcher and player. He loved the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. John had lived in Shamrock for 26 years and he was a Catholic.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, one brother and three sisters.
John is survived by 3 sons: Robert Lee Fair of Boston, MA; Edward James Fair and June of Cape Cod, MA; Clarence Francis Fair and Marylou of Cape Cod, MA
Four daughters: Raymah Carolyn Kupis and Ben of Shamrock; Robin C. Sullivan and Chris of Canton, MA; Caroline Newsted and Scott of Claude and Cheryl Fulcher of Orlando, FL
One brother; Tom Scanlon of Providence, RI.; two sisters, Doreen Bassett of Dudley, MA and Deborah Halley of Webster, MA; 14 Grandchildren; 17 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great Grandchild
