John "Junior" Hill's Obituary
HEDLEY
SERVICES- 10:00 am Monday, April 20, 2009 in the First Baptist Church in Hedley with Rev. Bruce Howard, Pastor, officiating.
INTERMENT- with US Army honors will be in Rowe Cemetery in Hedley.
Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Clarendon.
Mr. Hill was born December 30, 1925 in Hedley to John Franklin and Eva Jane Sanders Hill. He married Martha Nell Reed on January 17, 1948 in Hedley. He had been a resident of Hedley all of his life. He had been an US Army veteran serving in World War II and obtained a combat infantry medal while in the service. He was a farmer and a member of the First Baptist Church of Hedley.
PRECEDED IN DEATH BY- his parents; and his wife, Martha Nell Hill on April 10, 1997; and 16 brothers and sisters.
SURVIVORS- 2 sons, Johnny Hill and wife Gail of Hedley, and Jeff Hill and wife Lori of Lubbock; 3 daughters, Carole Ward and husband Leon and Loretta Hall and husband John all of Hedley, and Sherrie McDougal and husband Tim of Lubbock; a sister, Ovella Weatherbee of Graham; 12 grandchildren, Justin Ham and wife Tisha of Byers, CO, Jason Ham and wife Leslie of Vega, Levi Hall of Lynchburg, Virginia, Karen Hill of Amarillo, Lisa Hill of San Antonio, Amanda Elliott and husband Roger of Childress, David Ward of Ft. Worth, Courtney Hill, Cami Hill, Jordan McDougal, Jared McDougal, Jacob McDougal all of Lubbock; 5 great grandchildren, Kelsey Floyd of Clarendon, Rustin Ham, Rance Ham, Reagan Ham all of Byers, CO, and Addison Elliott of Childress; and his adopted family, Carmen Garcia of Hedley, and her children, Elizabeth Garcia, Danny Garcia, Miriam Garcia, Luis Garcia, and Carmen Garcia.
