Mr. Hatley was born January 20, 1919 in Brice, Texas to John Walker Hatley and Artie Bains Hatley. He was born and raised a resident of Brice/Lesley community and attended school in Lakeview. He married Estal Louise Clark on August 2, 1947 at Amarillo, TX. He was a World War II Veteran in the US Army. He was a Farmer & Rancher. He has lived in Clarendon the past ten years. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Clarendon.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Estal Louise on January 26, 1996.
He is survived by his 2 daughters, Jaci McAnear of Clarendon, Tonda Gowdy of Amarillo; 1 son, Kirby Hatley of Clarendon; 1 sister, Joanna Haynes of Amarillo; 6 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren.
