Joel David "J.D." Wiginton's Obituary
Joel David “J.D.” Wiginton, 78, of McLean died Monday, March 25, 2019 in Greenwood, Arkansas.
Services will be 2:00 pm Saturday, March 30, 2019 in One Way Church in McLean with Casey Carter, officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery in McLean.
Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 PM Friday at the funeral home.
Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of McLean.
J.D. was born June 12, 1940 in Wheeler, Texas to Alvin Augustus and Angie Pearl Higgins Wiginton. He had been a longtime resident of McLean. He never met a stranger and loved people. He loved being on a boat, fishing, and motorcycles.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Norma on September 5, 2010; a sister, Billie Ruth Crowley; a grandson, Jason Wiginton; and a great grandchild, Hadley Rose Cleavinger.
He is survived by a son, David Wiginton and wife Sheila of Greenwood, Arkansas; a daughter, Kim Ingram and husband Brett of Greenwood, Arkansas; 4 sisters, Jeannie Allen and husband Boyd of Amarillo, Alvina Edwards and husband Tommy of Shamrock, Nan Rhine of Wheeler, and Ann Long and husband Mike of Wheeler; 6 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren.
