Joann Howard Wells' Obituary
Joann Howard Wells, 95, of Pampa, Texas, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 6, 2026, in Pampa.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, April 13, 2026, at Hillcrest Cemetery in McLean, with Rick Parnell and James Greer officiating. Viewing will take place Sunday at the funeral home, with family receiving friends for visitation from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Arrangements are under the care of Robertson Funeral Directors of McLean.
Joann was born on November 7, 1930, in McLean, Texas, to Frank R. and Mary Ailene Harris Howard. She was a lifelong woman of faith and service. Joann spent many years in McLean, where she faithfully served as the organist at First Baptist Church for 34 years, sharing her gift of music with her church family.
After relocating to Pampa 25 years ago, she became a devoted member of Central Baptist Church. There, she was active in the WMU and found great joy in participating in The Hats choir group, traveling and singing with fellow members. Music remained a cherished part of her life, and she especially enjoyed playing the piano in her leisure time.
Joann was preceded in death by her parents; her three husbands; and a grandson, Paul Baggerman.
She is lovingly remembered by her son, Dana Miller of Miami; her daughters, Delynn Weller of Pampa and Diann Baggerman and husband Earnest of Miami; her brothers, Bob Howard of Amarillo and Harris Howard of Groom; eight grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family requests that memorials be made to Central Baptist Church in Pampa, in honor of Joann’s life and faith.
