Jimmy Ray Lax's Obituary
Jimmy Lax,76, of Shamrock passed away Sunday January 19, 2020 in Shamrock.
Services will be Friday January 24, 2020 at 2:00 PM in the Eleventh St. Baptist Church with Daylon Kirkland officiating.
Interment will be in Shamrock Cemetery, Shamrock, TX.
Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Shamrock.
Jimmy was born December 28, 1943 in Shamrock to Cleo and Vivian Harkins Lax. He married Linda Thompson on February 3, 2006. Jimmy had lived in Shamrock all of his life and he was a hard worker and could fix anything. He enjoyed camping with his friends and family. Jimmy worked for TX DOT for 33 years and after his retirement he went to work for the City of Shamrock.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his step-son Dean Lax and two brothers-in-law; Bob Smith and Terry Bidwell.
Jimmy is survived by his wife Linda of Shamrock ; two sisters; Faye Smith of New Waverly and Wanda Bidwell of Fritch and several nieces and nephews. Viewing will be Wednesday from 9:00-4:00 and Thursday from 9:00 -6:00 at the funeral home.
