So Sorry to find out about Jimmy's passing. He and my brother Kenneth were pals growing up, When our families would get together, Jimmy and Kenneth paired up. My brother Dwayne and Marion would pair up. I was always the odd one out as I was a girl and younger than them. Both families went to Carlsbad Caverns in New Mexico and we were allowed to have hamburgers for breakfast. That was a treat for we kids back in 1948. I grew up thinking Jimmy was a cousin,
Jimmy and Audrey were were active in events in Clarendon and were always friendly.
Jim will be greatly missed! He was a good man.
There is a shady bottom on Jim’s old home place. We stopped there one day as we walked the property hunting quail. I noticed his eyes tearing up and ask what was wrong. Jim said, you see those flat rocks there. I looked and there was a handful of flat rocks spaced a few feet apart. Jim said, there’s a good dog buried under each one of those rocks. I like to think Jim and them are all together again someplace where the quail are abundant.
