FRIONA / MEMPHIS SERVICES- 10:00 am Thursday, June 16, 2011 in the First Baptist Church in Memphis with Jim Dixon of Memphis officiating. INTERMENT- Fairview Cemetery in Memphis. Arrangements are by Blackwell Funeral Home of Friona and Robertson Funeral Directors of Memphis. Viewing will be from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm Tuesday at Blackwell Funeral Home in Friona. Family visitation will be from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm Wednesday at First Baptist Church Chapel in Memphis. Mr. Hansard was born Sept. 22, 1929, in Kellerville to Cleatis and Willie Clifford Hartsell Hansard. He married Shirley Dorcas Foster in Memphis on Sept. 22, 1951. He was a longtime Hall County farmer and rancher who loved his wife, family and pestering his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He simply loved life. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife. Survivors include three sons, James Hansard and wife Cindy of Electra, Mike Hansard and wife Kaye of Hereford and John C. "Dusty" Hansard and wife Melodee of Friona; six grandchildren, Jaci, Casey, Callie, Cade, Eric and Brady; a stepgranddaughter, Ellie McEuen; and two great-grandchildren, Keagan and Landry. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be to Kings Manor Methodist Home, P.O. Box 1999, Hereford, TX 79045; or Samaritan Hospice, 426 N. Main St. Suite E., Hereford, TX 79045.
