Jerry Floyd Lowe's Obituary
Jerry Floyd Lowe, 72, of Memphis died Thursday, January 4, 2018 in Memphis.
Family visitation will be held at the funeral home from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Friday, January 5, 2018.
Services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, January 6, 2018 in the First Baptist Church in Memphis with Rev. Daniel Downey, officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Memphis.
Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Memphis.
Jerry Floyd Lowe was born on August 15, 1945 in Muskogee, OK to Floyd Edward and Cosette Denny Lowe. Jerry married Tamara Frisbie on July 17, 1965 in Memphis. He was a resident of Memphis for most of his life, where he also attended the First Baptist Church. Jerry worked for GTE once he finished high school and worked in various positions, most recently as an engineer. He was a member of the American Legion, a 32nd degree Mason, and served on the city council for several years. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, and gardening. He was a very civic-minded man and a devote Christian.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter Michelle Lowe Williams.
He is survived by his wife; one daughter Melisa McIntosh and husband James of Memphis; one sister Janice Lucas and husband Luther of Stillwater, OK; two grandchildren Jordan McIntosh and Justine Santellanes; and four great-grandchildren Aaliyah Santellanes, Daiden McIntosh, Jase McIntosh, and Amaree Castillo.
Memorials—In lieu of flowers, the family suggest that donations be made to Meals on Wheels or a favorite charity of your choosing.
