Jerry Ronald Hill, 80, of Claude, died on Sunday, May 12, 2019 in Clarendon, TX.
Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at the Claude Cemetery in Claude with Rev. Tony McCallie, officiating.
Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Clarendon.
Jerry was born on July 24, 1938 in Olney, TX to JC and Ruby Parrott Hill. He married Betty Ford on January 27, 1961 in Canyon, TX. He moved to Claude from Weslaco, TX in 1961. He was member of the First United Methodist Church in Claude. He enjoyed fishing and watching the Dallas Cowboys. He coached football in Claude and was a part of J.C.’s. He worked as an independent contractor until his retirement.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; and a brother Jimmy Vaughn.
Survivors include his son, Rodney Hill and wife Julie of Goodnight; daughter, Becky Mechler and husband Tom of Amarillo; sister Linda Spoon and husband Lloyd of Claude; 9 grandchildren Crystal McCallie and husband Tony, Justin Wilde and wife Mikah, Bobby Neuroth, Billy Neuroth and wife Kim, Josh Neuroth and wife Monica, Mitszi Mote and husband Ty, Melea Bonasso and husband Marc, Michalla Stalder and husband Kirk, and Michael Mechler; and 19 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests that donations be sent to Claude EMS.
