Ben
Mary, Little Jerry, and Christel,
You are all in my prayers.
I do want to share that when I was a child, when I visited the farm, Uncle Jerry would occasionally give me tractor rides, and would also sometimes let me pretend to drive. I would almost always sit on a knee, over the wheel-well or on an arm rest. What makes this funny is the fact that even in my 20s and 30s, as a full grown adult, Uncle Jerry would still sometimes insist on giving me tractor rides when I visited, and I would still sit on the armchair, on a knee or on the wheel well, even though I didn’t really fit in the cab. The rides were always noisy, dusty, crowded and cramped, but I enjoyed every minute, because it was his way of extending kindness and letting me know that he was still my uncle.
Uncle Jerry was always good to me. He is also someone I will always admire.
Love,
Ben
