CLARENDON GRAVESIDE SERVICES - 10:00 am Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at Citizens Cemetery in Clarendon with Rev. Anthony Knowles, officiating. INTERMENT - Citizens Cemetery in Clarendon. Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Clarendon. J.D. Hopper was born February 25, 1923 in Hopper, ARK to James Garfield and Julina Tweedle Hopper. He worked in Iran and also as an Aviation Sight Boss for Lear-Sygler Lockheed in Ohio and Indiana for 17 years before retiring. He was WW II Veteran of the US Army Air Corps, a member of the VFW in Clarendon and Amarillo, and a member of the Clarendon Masonic Lodge #700 AF & AM. He was Church of Christ. PRECEDED IN DEATH BY – his parents; 6 brothers; and 4 sisters. SURVIVORS – 3 sons, Wayne Hopper, of Houston, Jr. Hopper of Amarillo, and Ronnie Hopper of Amarillo; 1 brother, Raymond Hopper; and several grandchildren. IN LIEU OF FLOWERS - The family suggests memorials be sent to Citizens Cemetery Association, PO Box 983, Clarendon, Texas, 79226.
