MEMORIAL GRAVESIDE SERVICE - Monday, September 16, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at Hillcrest Cemetery in McLean with Rev. Wendell Knutson officiating.
INURNMENT - Hillcrest Cemetery in McLean, Texas.
Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of McLean.
J.B. Brown was born September 18, 1919 in Chillicothe to M.E. and Maggie Smithson Brown. He was a veteran of the US Army serving during World War II, and has been a resident of McLean since 1946. J.B. married the love of his life 74 years ago, Lorene Henry on June 17, 1939 in Chillicothe. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in McLean and then Shamrock, and served as a Deacon of the First Baptist Church in McLean since the 1950’s. J.B. was a good Christian man, father, and husband.
PRECEDED IN DEATH BY- his parents; 2 brothers, Herman and Richard Brown; and 2 sisters, Betty Pringle and Beatrice Brown.
SURVIVORS - his wife of 74 years, Lorene Brown, of McLean; 2 sons, Ed Brown and wife Carolyn, of Pflugerville, and David Brown of McLean; 2 daughters, Paula Sue Gibson and husband Darrell, of Pampa, and Nancy Kay Dwyer and husband Jerry, of Canyon; 1 brother, Morris Brown of McLean; 2 sisters, Willie Nicholas of McLean, and Dorothy Lock of Lefors; 10 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; 5 great great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
MEMORIALS – may be made to the Loaves and Fishes Ministry in McLean.
