Janice Lee Alexander's Obituary
Janice Lee Alexander, 73, of Memphis died Wednesday, January 13, 2021 in Amarillo.
Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Monday, January 18, 2021 in Fairview Cemetery in Memphis with Mark Lance, officiating.
Viewing will be held Sunday at the funeral home.
Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Memphis.
Janice was born July 10, 1947 in Clarendon to Edwin and Jeanette Floyd. She married Gary Alexander, the love of her life, on June 3, 1967 in Hedley. Janice had been a resident of Memphis since 1972 and worked for GTE, was an office manager for several businesses, and was co-owner of Red River Irrigation. Janice was an excellent cook who loved large family gatherings, gardening, traveling, and never got tired of fishing. Her grandkids were the delight of her life. She was a member of the Memphis Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Gene Floyd.
Survivors include her husband, Gary Alexander of Memphis; her daughters, Sherry Bingham and husband Jeff of Edmond, Oklahoma, Angie Monroe and husband Tony of Memphis, Donna Houchins and husband Bryan of Buda; her brother, Jerry Floyd of Baconton, Georgia; her sisters, Pat Peters of Texarkana and Janie Hill of Canyon; 10 grandchildren, Hannah and Jason Brunner, Alexander Bingham, Becca and James Olsson, Addison Monroe and Zeke Garcia, Eric and Marissa Monroe, Sara Monroe, Erin Monroe, Emma Houchins, Jackson Houchins, and Abby Houchins; and several nieces and nephews.
The family request memorials be sent to Fairview Cemetery Association in Memphis or Rowe Cemetery Association in Hedley.
