James "Chubby" Waddill's Obituary
James "Chubby" Waddill, 79, of Memphis died Wednesday, November 13, 2019 in Memphis.
Services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, November 16, 2019 in the Memphis Church of Christ with Tom Anderson and Mark Lance, officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Memphis.
Visitation will be from 4:00-6:00 PM Friday at the funeral home.
Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Memphis.
James "Chubby" was born July 4, 1940 in Memphis to James Boyd and Oleta Waddill. Chubby married Lela Garrison on April 18, 1959 and later married Betty Waddill November 7, 2018. He served in the US Army from 1960-1962 deployed to Korea and then honorably discharged.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Lee Waddill; a daughter, Penny Waddill Black; a granddaughter, LaManda Danielle Haggard; late wife, Betty Waddill; and a niece, Rhonda Barnett.
Survivors include his daughter, Jerri Reichert and husband Dusty of Leonard; a sister, Novell McPherson and husband Ray; his grandchildren, James Daniel Haggard and wife AJ of Big Spring and their children, Micaha, Kinley, Liam, and Oktober, LaManda Chewning and husband Taylor of Big Spring and their children, Andy and Jill, Justin Maddox and wife Heather of Durant, Oklahoma and their children, Hali, Brianna, and Emma, Destiny Back and husband Jordan of Bonham and their children, Chaslynn, Jance, and Karstyn, Donny Bristol and spouse Courtney of Memphis and their children, Jace, Emma, Aspen, Jayden, Payton, and Paxton; and numerous nieces and nephews.
