SERVICES- 11:00 AM Thursday, October 9, 2014 in Citizens Cemetery in Clarendon with Don Johnston, officiating.
INTERMENT- With US Army Honors will be in Citizens Cemetery in Clarendon.
Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Clarendon.
Slick was born April 20, 1928 in Clarendon to Robert and Goldie Johnston. He married Mai Truong on August 14, 1972 in Vietnam. He had been a US Army veteran and retired after 24 years of service. He had been a resident of Clarendon since 1974.
PRECEDED IN DEATH BY – his parents; 3 brothers, Walter, Henry, & William; and a sister, Lucille.
SURVIVORS – his wife, Mai Johnston of Clarendon; a step daughter, Xuan Ho of Austin; a sister in law, Lillian Johnston of Fritch; and several nieces and nephews.
MEMORIALS- The family suggests that memorials be to the Wounded Warrior Project.
