James Carroll Harris, 73, of Borger, Texas died Friday, November 29, 2024 in Borger, Texas.
Graveside services will be 3:30 PM Friday, December 6, 2024 in Citizens Cemetery in Clarendon, Texas.
Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Clarendon.
Fun-loving and easy-going family man and friend committed to caring for and enjoying life with his wife through it all for 36 years. He could make everyone laugh with an amazing sense of humor and storytelling. His dog's Brownie and Blue were not only what kept him going but also his closest companions until the very end. The things he enjoyed the most was fishing, going on trips with the grandkids and great grand children, watching scary movies, and playing tug of war with his dog's.
Preceded in death by his wife Joan Harris, father Rufus Harris, mother Grace Bates-Harris, and sister Peggy Tatum.
Survived by daughter, Valerie and husband Martin Magallanes; brother, G. Larry Harris; sister Jackie Lynn Todd; granddaughter, Megan and husband Jonathan Traylor, grandson Josh and wife Trish Meeks, granddaughter Glory Magallanes, granddaughter Rayna and husband Matthew Barrientes, along with 10 great grandchildren.
