James Fredrick Gonding's Obituary
Memorial services will be held Friday, July 08, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at The River Church in Canadian, TX with Rev. Donald Hill and Rev. Andy Taylor officiating.
Jim was born on April 20, 1935 in Chicago, IL to John Albert Gonding and Frances Marie Zybach. Jim served in the military from 1954 to 1980 when he retired. He raised horses, farmed and ranched. Jim loved to play golf, and was a wonderful brother and uncle. He was a member the Canadian Gold Club, American Quarter Horse Assoc., NRA, Prolife Assoc., and River Church in Canadian, TX. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, and 1 sister Betty Gonding.
Jim is survived by 1 brother Richard (Dick) Gonding and wife Linda of Jackson, MI., 4 nieces Deborah Bevier, Beth Gonding both of Jackson, MI., Susan Ryan fo Antioch, IL., and Glenda Fahey of New Lenox, IL., 1 nephew David Wright of Longmont, CO., 4 cousins R.L. and wife Rozena Zybach, Royce and wife Deedy Zybach, Mike and wife Melody Goad, and Gay and Mac Purcell all of Briscoe, TX., 2 great nieces Katie and Erin Fahey and 1 great nephew Sean Fahey all of New Lenox, IL.
The family has requested in lieu of flowers memorial be sent to Ja’Nae Goad Memorial Scholarship 503 Wilson Briscoe, TX. 79011 or to Camp of Champion at Trinity Fellowship Church 1405 N. 4th St. Sayre, OK 73662
