Jackie Altman's Obituary
Jackie Altman, 85, of Memphis died Friday, August 30, 2019 in Childress.
Services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, September 4, 2019 in the First Baptist Church in Memphis with Ronnie Shoffner, officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Memphis.
Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Memphis.
Jackie was born October 12, 1933 in Paris, Texas to Charlie and Lydia McCallum. She married Nathan William Altman, Jr. on December 30, 1950 in Memphis. She had been a longtime resident of Memphis. She loved sewing, crocheting, quilting, and embroidery. She also enjoyed making a variety of dolls. Jackie was an excellent cook where she was known for her hot rolls and chocolate chip cookies. She thoroughly enjoyed her grandkids and great grandkids.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a brother, Wallace McCallum; a grandson, Eric Hansard; and a great grandson, Hudson Barker.
Survivors include her four sons, Stanley Altman of Vernon, Stevie Altman of Memphis, Timmy Altman of Childlress, and Terry Altman of Memphis; two daughters, Connie Murdock and Sandy McAllister both of Memphis; three sisters, Lavon Crawford of Justin, Beverly McClure of Georgia, and Carol Smith of Gainesville; 15 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family request memorials be sent to Fairview Cemetery Association in Memphis or Memphis Meals on Wheels.
