Funeral services will be held at 10 am Saturday March 10, 2018 at Heald United Methodist Church for Iva Dell Rippy Kohls with Rev. Thacker Haynes officiating. Interment to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in McLean, TX
Iva Dell Kohls was a native of McLean, TX and a resident of Galliano, Louisiana. Iva Dell Kohls died on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at the age of 90.
Iva Dell Kohls was born February 5, 1928 to Kester S. and Avice Emily Haynes Ladd Rippy at the family home in the Heald Community. Iva Dell graduated from McLean High School in 1945 and pursued a career in nursing after graduation from Harris School of Nursing in Fort Worth, TX as a RN.
Iva Dell and Lloyd James Kohls of Shamrock TX, were married at Heald United Methodist Church October 2, 1949.
Iva Dell was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Jim on February 14, 2014 and her sister Ramah Lou Lankford in 1992.
Iva Dell is survived by 5 children:Steven Kohls (Karen), Deborah Kohls, Kay Shafer (Jordan) Shirley Griffin, Kathleen Brantley (Ronnie).10 grandchildren: Ariel, Emily, Kara, Blake, Paden, Joshua, Erin, Kayla, Kristen, and Ronnie.4 great grandchildren: Braylon, Christian, Claire and Sawyer.1 niece: Mickey Jackson 3 nephews: Bill Lankford, Kelly Kohls, and Kelvin Kohls.
