McLEAN SERVICES - 11:00 am on Saturday, October 3, 2009 in the First Baptist Church in McLean with Rev. Thacker Haynes, Pastor of the First United Methodist Church in McLean, officiating. INTERMENT - Hillcrest Cemetery in McLean. ARRANGEMENTS - Robertson Funeral Directors of McLean. Mrs. Mullanax was born June 26, 1917 in Young County, Texas to A. W. and Ella McMillan Perry. She married Morris Mullanax in 1937 at Graham, Texas. He preceded her in death in 1964. She was the owner of the Hindman Hotel and later owned Mullanax Men's Store in McLean prior to her retirement. One of her favorite hobbies was planting trees, especially apricot trees in the bar ditches on the rural roads around McLean, many of which remain today. She had been a resident of Kellerville and McLean all of her adult life before moving to Arlington 6 years ago. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in McLean. SURVIVORS - her son, Dr. Gayle Mullanax and wife Sharon of Arlington, Texas; one brother, J. L. Perry of Hobbs, NM; 3 grandchildren, Greg Mullanax, Susan Riddles, and Mindy Roberts; and 6 great grandchildren. MEMORIALS - McLean Meals on Wheels or Devils Rope Museum in McLean.
