Irene Lowe Barth's Obituary
Irene Barth, age 88, walked into heaven on Thursday, January 8, 2015 surrounded by loved ones in Lubbock, Texas. She was born on June 5, 1926 in Wellington, Texas to the late Mason Jackson Lowe and Emma Eufala Miller. Irene was married to George Allison Barth for 38 years and resided in Shamrock, Texas (in the same house) for more than 50 years until she moved to Lubbock. While still in Shamrock, Irene was an active member of the United Methodist Church and was also very active in her community. She was best known for her beautifully painted ceramics—a real treasure to anyone fortunate enough to own a piece of her collection. Irene was a loving and compassionate wife, stepmother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend. Her love was a gift, and she brought joy to both family and friends. A celebration of her life and memory will be held at Robertson Funeral Funeral Directors, 311 N Wall Street in Shamrock, TX on Sunday, January 11th at 2pm. Burial will follow in Shamrock Cemetery. Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Shamrock. Irene is preceded in death by her husband, George Allison Barth; her five sisters, Reddie Mae Lowe Snider, Jannie Lowe, Leitha Lowe Brownly, Novia Lowe Martin and Lorene Lowe Liner; her three brothers, Jim Lowe, Jack Lowe, and Billy Ray Lowe, and step grandson, Jerry Roles. Irene is survived by her nephew Mike Liner and his wife, Suzie Beck Liner; two step daughters, Joe Brogdon and Marilyn Klein; four step grandchildren and their families which include nine great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
