Jean Longino was born Jan. 26, 1929, to Clayton and Eva Peabody of Kellerville, Texas. She married Ted Longino on Dec. 27, 1946, in McLean. He was in the Army Air Corps during World War II. She graduated from McLean High School.
Throughout her life, Jean enjoyed laughing and joking with friends and family. She was an avid reader, loved watching “shoot-‘em-up” cowboy or cop movies and always had a freshly made chocolate cake ready in a dome-covered cake holder atop her refrigerator when her grandchildren came to visit.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; a brother, Clayton Carroll Peabody; a son, Clay Longino; and a grandchild, Joshua Longino.
Survivors include three sons, Joe Ted Longino of Rockwall, Bob R. Longino of Atlanta, Ga., and Jay Longino and wife, Rená, of Amarillo; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be to the United Methodist Church in McLean, Habitat for Humanity International (www.habitat.org) or a favorite charity.
