SERVICES - 11:00 am Saturday, May 28 in Robertson Chapel Of Memories in Clarendon, TX with Rev. Truman Ledbetter, Baptist Minister from Claude, officiating.
INTERMENT - Citizens Cemetery in Clarendon, TX.
Mrs. Bain was a native of the Texas Panhandle. She was born in Estelline, Hall County, Texas, the youngest child of the late Willie Elizabeth and Shelby C. Bell. She met her husband while working at Parker's Drug Store in Clarendon. Her husband, John Elbert Bain was enlisted in the Navy at the time, stationed at sea on the USS Essex. They were married in Clarendon on August 5, 1949. She was a WAC in the US Army during WW II. She lived in Clarendon before she and her husband moved to California. In 1976, she moved from California to Sunray where she maintained a home until 2004. She enjoyed her grandchildren and spent the last 5 years of her life living with her daughter. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1995; and by 5 sisters and 6 brothers.
SURVIVORS - a daughter, Marsha Aguilar of San Antonio; and 4 grandchildren, Kathryn, Christopher, Kimberly, and John Michael.
